Britany discovered yoga while working as an Elementary School Teacher. Britany wanted to discover a healthy way of managing stress and began taking a yoga class once a week. After her first class, she felt a sense of relaxation that she hadn’t felt before. Britany enrolled in yoga teacher training and discovered the many medical benefits of a consistent yoga practice. Britany felt inspired to leave her position as a school teacher and help others through yoga and fitness.
Britany is a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance (E-RYT 200, RYT 500). Britany has 15 years of experience teaching yoga as well as meditation in the gym, studio, spa, retirement community, early childhood education, and Fortune 500 corporate settings throughout the US. Britany’s experience of working with a wide range of individuals has allowed her to repeatedly see first-hand what the benefits of a consistent yoga practice can do for someone.
Britany received her Masters of Science in Exercise Science and Health Promotion: Fitness and Wellness from California University of Pennsylvania. Britany holds her Bachelors of Science in Interdisciplinary Arts in Education: Dance and Elementary Education from the State University of New York College at Brockport. She also earned her certification in Secondary Education: Dance Performance from Nova Southeastern University. Britany is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM-CPT) as well as with the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA-CPT). She is also a Certified Fitness Nutrition Specialist (FNS) through NASM.
Britany incorporates her extensive knowledge of yoga, fitness, nutrition, and behavior change to coach individuals on reinventing their habits to reflect a healthier lifestyle.
