In horse racing, the track announcer will shout “and down the stretch they come” as the horses race around the final curve into the long straightaway finish. Week 7 in our competition feels like the appropriate time to make that call!

The Black Attack are Making Their Move

Once again, Coach Phillip’s team is shifting into turbo mode toward the finish line. By weighing in with an impressive 5.21% body weight loss, the squad has lengthened their lead of Coach Geraldine’s Red Storm by almost a full percentage point. In a mild surprise, Coach Natalie’s Turquoise Dream has overtaken Army Green for third place 3.82% to 3.10%. While the race is by no means over, the Black Attack is clearly the frontrunner.

Outstanding Individual Performance Highlighted Week 7

Wow, what can you say about some the efforts by our participants. Steve Howe of the Turquoise Dream and Alicia Grose of the Red Storm led the way with 11.53% and 10.52% body weight loss this week, but several other competitors logged in with impressive numbers:

Kelly Holland (Green) 9.14%

Amy Pelletier (Blue) 6.95%

Tony Williams (White) 6.41%

“I ate a salad for dinner last night. It was mostly croutons and tomatoes. Really one big crouton with tomato sauce. And I added some cheese. It was a pizza, alright, I ate a pizza!”
