Aqua Burn with Susie Davis

A high intensity aquatic workout that will combine cardiovascular and strengthening exercises to boost endurance and make your muscles burn. 

Use of aquatic exercise equipment combined with your own body resistance will be used to “feel the burn”.   We will use every part of the pool to complete this workout including the water, the wall, and the bottom. 

If you are looking for a great cross training opportunity or to enhance swimming techniques, this class is for you. 

Tuesdays at 9 am

About Susie Davis

I have over 20 years experience in teaching aquatic fitness, group fitness, and swim lessons.  My passion for aquatic exercise and swimming stems from a childhood career as a nationally ranked competitive swimmer and college athlete.  After my competitive swimming days came to an end, I took up synchronized swimming at Meredith College and learned a new appreciation for yet another aquatic sport.  

I have worked at Wake Med Health & Hospitals in various wellness roles over the past 18 years including teaching group fitness to cardiac rehab patients, serving as a health educator, and leading the corporate wellness/employee wellness division.  I have also taught aquatic fitness classes at Gypsy Divers Scuba Center and Zebulon Country Club.  

When I’m not in the pool, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Tripp, my children Spencer and Paige, and my dog Allie.  We spend a lot of time at the beach and on the boat – pretty much anything that involves water.  I also love shopping, traveling, and making new friends.  

I am very excited to start my new journey with Granite Falls and get to know all of you!
