LAND CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Balls, Bands & BOSU:

This class uses specific equipment to target different muscle groups. The format offers modifications for all fitness levels.

BARBELL STRENGTH:

A 45 minute class using the bars and weighted plates. The equipment makes the class format different yet still appropriate for all levels.

BODY CONDITIONING:

A traditional interval training class incorporating strength training and conditioning for a total body workout.

BOOT CAMP:

A high intensity workout sure to make you sweat and target many muscle groups. Wednesday evening class includes extended time for Ab work.

CARDIO DRILLS:

An amazing Cardiovascular class that is designed to help strengthen the most important muscle in your body..your heart. This class is for all fitness levels consult the instructor for modifications.

CARDIO MUSCLE & TONE:

This is a strong class with intensity to increase your heart rate and challenge muscle groups. A great combination class to enhance your total body workout. Thursday afternoon class includes extended 15 min of toning from 5:45-6:15.

CORE & FLEXIBILITY:

A class for all levels to increase their core strength and muscle agility.

KICKBOXING*:

High intensity, moderate to high impact cardiovascular class which incorporates the whole body for an awesome workout. You will love the no nonsense sport choreography and the electric fast beat. This class is for beginner through advanced participants. Come try it! After one class you will become addicted.

KIDZFIT*:

An amazing 30 minute class for the kids of Granite Falls including upbeat exercise, fun games, and health/fitness vignettes on wellness-related topics.

LITE N LOW:

This is a low-impact muscle and cardio class for members of all ages who desire a slower paced workout. Whether you are just starting out or just want/need a lower impact, lighter workout, come try this class. Chairs are available.

MUSCLE:

Want to improve muscular strength and endurance? Try strength training in a group format. Resistance equipment is utilized. Appropriate for various ability levels.

PILATES:

This class strengthens the body CORE by developing abdominal control and torso flexibility while using focused breathing to define all movement. You will strengthen and lengthen all muscles, improve posture and flexibility, find proper body alignment, increase your range of motion and achieve body-mind awareness. Pilates 1, 2 beginner class, and Pilates 3,4 advanced class Instructor approval needed.

PiYo:

Combines the fundamentals of yoga and pilates for an intense class experience.

TEENFIT:

A 45 minute muscle and cardio class incorporating toning and cardio drills for ages 10 and up who want to learn proper form, sweat and enjoy their workout.

YOGA:

Focuses on breathing, basic Yoga poses, strength, flexibility and relaxation. Postures increase in intensity and difficulty as strength and endurance develops. Preparation and assistance for more advanced inversions are included.

ZUMBA:

Exercise in disguise! So ditch the workout and join the fun. It’s the craze of the Latin beat and the excitement of shouting and moving those body parts you had forgotten about. This is a cardio workout aimed to please all levels.

ZUMBA KIDS®:

These classes are designed exclusively for kids (ages 3-6;7-11) and are rockin’, high-energy fitness parties packed with specially choreographed, kid-friendly routines and all the music kids love. Parents love Zumbatomic because of the effects it has on kids, increasing their focus and self-confidence, boosting metabolism and enhancing coordination. Zumbatomic rounds out family fitness goals by giving parents a great reason to head to the gym: for themselves, for their kids, for a totally fun family experience.

AQUA CLASS DESCRIPTION

AQUA FITNESS:

A mix of cardio and tone. A fast-paced workout to burn calories.

ATHLETIC WATER:

A boot camp style swimming class mixing intervals and swimming techniques. You won’t want to miss this class if you are training. (Swim Skills Required)

AQUA INTERVAL:

A class that uses the resistance of the water to enhance cardio-respiratory and muscular endurance. This class is great for those who want to tone in a low impact environment.

WATER EXPLOSION:

Water Aerobics at a slower pace. Dumbbells and noodles are used to offer resistance and core work. This class is for all levels of physical ability and can be easily individualized for all energy levels.

CYCLE CLASS DESCRIPTION

CYCLE*:

Instructor led pace- train at your own level by setting the resistance you need.

CYCLE, CORE, & More*:

A cycle class with the added bonus of CORE training

*Sign up with the front desk is required. Cycle sign up opens when the club opens at 7am the day before the class. A $25.00 fee will automatically be charged to bank account or card on file for a “No Show”. Please call to cancel at least 30 minutes before class time.

Unless otherwise noted, all classes are 55 minutes.
